Though still quite tight and lean, this right-bank Bordeaux, a fine value given that it comes from a satellite of a famous appellation, turns fuller and juicier after extensive aeration, suggesting that it's just now entering its prime at five (much earlier than usual for good Bordeaux), with the drying tannins and sharp acidity to benefit from 2-3 more years of aging. This was a good value for this price point, may need a few more years to mellow out, need to decant for 3-4 hours. I found full bodied, with medium tannins, some notes of blackcurrant and black cherries overall great restaurant buy.
