Vie Vinum Tasting: Gruner Veltliner meets Roter Veltliner (Vienna, Austria) : (Tasted Blind): Light yellow colour. The nose has a savoury, farmyard hint that segues to ripe tangerine and freshly picked herbs. The entry is quite sweet, rich, and full-bodied, with a grippy texture, saline-edged fresh acidity, and a mandarin skin texture. It is complex, with botrytis notes adding a creamed honey sensation and width to the mid-palate. Still, its sweetness meant it seemed a little floppy and lacking rigidity.

Vie Vinum Tasting: Gruner Veltliner meets Roter Veltliner (Vienna, Austria) : (Tasted Blind): Light lemon colour. Gorgeous notes of mineral, celery salt, and struck match. The palate has a lively acidity, mid-weight balanced with enough fruit. Flavours of lemons, melon, and Bartlett pears are present with a mineral saline edge, but it feels rounder than expected. The spiky alcohol holds back the finish slightly. It's good but not top-tier.
