14.5% alc. Deep ruby. Very exuberant appealing nose, blue and blackberry liqueur, liquorice, spice and iron. Full body, juicy, dusty tannic structure, high acidity balancing intense ripe black and blue berry fruits, blood orange, liquorice, spices. Still youthful but with excellent balance. Really excellent aged Shiraz.

{screwcap, 13.4%} Lovely Barossa shiraz combining chocolate, red fruit, subtle cedary oak, fading medium tannins. Rich fruit, but no sugar. At peak and a lovely example of the style at its best.

{screwcap, 14.5%} As for my last note in Mar-21; strikingly consistent. Fruity and rich, only partly evolved, balanced. Worth decanting to serve I reckon.

A slightly developing nose offers chocolate covered strawberries, hint of malt, a whiff of warm spice (never really peppery on the palate though). Very Barossa, …
