One of the best Brunellos I’ve had! The aroma certainty invites you to drink a few glasses

This wine was left to room temp for most of the day. Upon opening it was delicious out of the bottle. For a dry wine it was holding back a smooth berry flavor without any taste of alcohol. Complimented our Italian dinner beautifully! What a great wine!

This was more interesting to me than the '13 Fanti Brunello it was served next too. Definitely more signs of early browning to the color. Seemed a bit more advanced than its age. Nose has earth and some leather. On the palate the red fruits are a bit more mature and the earth and leather notes are more prominent. Good.

Citrus! Freshness! Lemons, strawberries, soil. A medium body that today has a lightly bitter edge to it, but this is still quite young. A few years in the cellar with give this an opportunity to more fully explore the potential within. Really good tension, above-average structure (for the vintage in general). Quite nice. 14,5% abv. recommended>highly recommended https://www.ItalianWine.blog

Tuscany Tasting (Carpe Noctem, Göppingen) : Glass: Gabriel Standard Single vineyard Brunello. Much more elegant than the Riserva. More floral nose, dried blossoms, very fine and elegant. On the palate also cooler, leaner, more elegant. Floral notes, lots of red fruit, oak, herbs. High acidity and tannin, great structure, good length. Very young. Keep for 3-5+ years. 91-92+

1 ounce pour at a public tasting- came back 2 hours later to try again with some more air time Good bright red color, nose muted but obviously refined, pure leather with hints of dark berry, a touch of rose petal, on the palate quite young and very tight (had been double decanted an hour prior to this first sample), almost impenetrable, quite tannic, chewy, long dryish finish, 2 hours later- still young and unruly but showing a lovely cherry …

I must have been at the same tasting as Elpaninaro below. The only thing I'd add to his notes is that after a few hours the nose on this wine bloomed into something you could savor forever. Definitely needs a long decant or ideally a few more bottle years to reach its full potential.

Well balanced, spizy, long aftertaste. Only minus is a bit lean at the very end of the aftertaste.

Benvenuto Brunello - Walk Around Tasting (Drake Hotel - Chicago IL) : Nicely spiced start with red berry and cherry with good concentration. Seems ripe with moderate structure to start, but firmness and energy sneak in at the finish. Another with very good potential, perhaps more accessible earlier than the average 2010 Riserva.

The nose was dark, perfumed and refined with classic dark red fruits, earth and hints of leather. On the palate, silky textures were firmed up by fine tannin, giving way to bitter dark fruits, earth and inner floral tones. The finish was structured with medium length, showing dried berries and herbs.
