Elements of Wine 2021 - My Class at GnG; 2/7/2021-12/31/2021 (Grapes & Grains, Temecula, CA) : Somewhat excessively tart cranberry, cherry, pomegranate with an earthy edge.

This was terrific. Loads of cranberry and a touch of old world and a bite of white pepper following the red fruit. good stuff.

Opened yesterday, revisiting the wine today. When we tasted it yesterday, it reminded me a bit of Rhys, with some cranberry, some rustic tones and red fruited. Today, I find the same cherry component in the aromatic, along with a crushed herb, akin to something that may be stem inclusion? Medium red, not fully clear. Sour cherries and cranberries on first blush, a whiff of earth on palate. Finish a bit taut, with tannins integrated.

Drank really nicely. Balanced and more acid than I was expecting. I find that often SRH wines have good fruit but end up seeming flabby with too low acidity. That wasn't the case for this bottle. No question where it was from but more refined.
