Final bottle. Purchased in 2015 from a reputable Belgian merchant and stored in perfect conditions since. Mature but iively appearance. Delicate and even a bit decadent in style, candied fruit, Asian spices and red meat, fully mature, cool minerality, losing weight on the palate but stlll smooth and supple, elegant and wirh just the right level of tannic grip, cold tea on the finish. Drink up.

Compared to the 08 and 10 this is markedly ripe on the nose. There is also a slightly animal mineral note.

Dom Pérignon / Vosne-Romanée Tasting-cum-Lunch (Restaurant Slagerij De Beurs, Amsterdam, NL) : Cigars, Asian spices, delicately sweet style, supple tannins, light but very seductive, completely ready.

So - on the scale of potential wine quality, I stand by my score of 92. However, for village level burgundy this is just about perfect. The best? I can’t say that. But it has absolutely everything: true character, purity, interest and impact - all in perfect balance. The color is light, the weight is light yet the spicy intensity is not in the slightest bit light. I could drink this three times a week and never grow tired. Too …

It was ok...thought it would give more given the vintage and producer

Dark cerise. Potent nose, sweet red berries, sandalwood spice, rose perfume, confection, a hint of animale. Sappy, medium intensity palate, but beautiful, cherry and pomegranate fruit, violets, baking spice, caressing acidity, gentle, soft tannins, for a village wine perfection!

Every now and then one hits that bottle that makes you think “whoa” that’s something when you put your nose in the glass. Textbook Vosne spice and a beautifully balance palate. Has enough tannin to stand up to grilled beef but I see no reason to age these. In a great place but no hurry. I long for the days of sub $30 village wine that actually were delivered by those who shall remain nameless.

Lovely feminine Vosne fruit. Fully mature. A good villages wine. Good length. Will keep a while but no reason to. Quite enjoyable.

Truly gorgeous: smoky, sappy, spicy, dark cherries, rose, highly perfumed, but predominantly a cool, rocky mineral wine, feminine, tannins seem to have vanished, high acidity, young but very delicious and open for business.

I mostly agree with the Kriz review with the minor exception in the word "benchmark". I really love the voluptuous style of Vosne wines, but the best example of a village level blend has to be the Rouget version. This has great QPR though and did put on weight and showed more red fruit as it got air over 2-3 hours. A well-made wine from a strong producer which makes me want the Suchots.

I think this is the benchmark for Vosne village. There are better, there are worse but typical Vosne. 2009 is a very good vintage, sweet fruit, acidic fruit and bitter fruit. But fruit. Some sharpness but very good.

My last bottle of this elegant and charming Vosne. Strawberries, marzipan, spices and forest floor gives way to refined and sappy flavors with excellent acidity and intensity, and a long and sophisticated finish. Surely no sign of fat or flabby 2009 in this one. Pure pleasure.

Drinks well now. Fruit forward and not that complex, but still was good with the food. Good for a village wine from a more forward vintage.

As previous bottles, pure delight - complex and pure aromas, delicate and refined tast. Strawberries, marzipan, spices. Top value.

Beautifully expressive aromas of strawberry, marzipan, spices, and glue/varnish. Very fresh juice with good sap and excellent length, well rounded harmonious finish. Very elegant and very vosne in character. Superb quality for its level.

Both color and nose have evolved somewhat and are not just about fruit with some spice and herbal notes in the mix. Quite nice. Firm yet silky with a spicy middle that kept expanding as time went on. It was both darker and softer than at the start as air worked its way into the wine. Interestingly (and thankfully), this does not come across as a plush 09. Really good for a village wine

Clean, young nose. Deep burgundy core. A bit shut down on the nose, but some lush fruit and hints of spice. More expressive on the palate, dark berries, red fruits and some cherry. Some spice and some earthiness. Very well balanced, medium+ lenght on the finish. Very good buy for the price!

Dirty. Slightly spicy. Stood out from the rest and may have just needed a minute from what it tasted like in '12. Great nose.

medium body, medium garnet in color, showing some nice medium cherry fruit, notes of dark raspberry, some spice and a touch of woodiness, decent acidity; forward and somewhat ripe, but essentially right down the middle for the vintage. Pleasant and very drinkable, but missing much interest, and a little too forward and lush.
