Deep purple in the glass, typical bouquet of Rioja, appropriate balance, but otherwise unremarkable. I don't see it getting better with additional bottle age.

Great value for money. Complex old world style, well balanced, good acidity and fruit, relatively light bodied easy drinker but a lot going on. Would buy again

A great la Rioja for the money. Nice aromatics with complimentary smooth drinking flavors of brambly fruit of blackberry and plum, soft leather and black pepper. The dry and light tannic finish has a nice puckery acidity that makes it very food friendly. Went great with our homemade spicy🌶️ tacos 🌮.

Date, raisin, fig on nose. Palate lean, some vanilla. Desert dust. Medium body high tannin, med- Acid, very dry, mod alcohol. All around a nice wine but the finish was not the most pleasant moment to leave off on. Would’ve liked a bit more intensity of the flavours, even just to match nose. Better with ch33se after dinner than sumac chicken and apicy okra entree.

88: A lovely Spanish Rioja (85% Tempranillo, 10% Graciano, 5% Mazuelo) with deep ruby-purple color and a rich, velvety mouthfeel. A lot of spicy terroir in the bouquet that carries through to the palate where it blends with dark fruit and hints of vanilla and smoke. All the tannins are up front, leaving an ultra smooth finish. Hard to explain why this isn't 90+ other than by comparison to other wines that are. Worth buying/drinking if you come across it.
