Light-mid straw gold; light Chardonnay nose, peachy; soft, balanced, smooth easy-drinking finish. w/appetizers.

Wines from California (Chapel Arts Centre, Bath) : Slight taint and damp cellar despite being under screw cap…what's that about I wonder….over almond paste, butter and toast. Fruit is muted and the little that is present is quite confected. Touch of apple compote as well. It's juicy but with quite pushy malolactic and some savoury, almost yeast extract, notes. It gets a bit thick and tight in the mouth with a bit of drying grip on the finish. not very …

Mid-range Chardonnay (quality/price). Olfactive weak, low persistence. Degustative: fresh acidity, no bitterness, dry, no tannin, light body and subtle texture with surprisingly long persistence due to the light acidity (I think?) Wild berries, spice

Lemon meringue, touch floral, palate is easy, lemony, unoaked, creme brulee. Suprisingly real wine for big brand california.
