Very floral, with a hint of interesting reduction underneath. Just off-dry, needs to be drunk cool, good acidity, reasonably light. Nice. Would love to see in 10 to 20 years

Tasted at Caviste, Hampshire, UK, hosted by owner and winemaker Ray Nadeson. A light floral nose and very much in the new world style for riesling, not too much petrol coming through. Fresh, not acidic, well balanced, poached pear. Quite long.

Wine dinner at The Anchor, Ripley with Ray Nadeson of Lethbridge Wines. Crisp eating apple and crystalline pineapple fruit with a hint of lime zest. Barely dry but balanced by a steely core and refreshing bright acidity. Racy and moreish. Very good (food wine) indeed, verging on the excellent. Big debate on the ageing potential at the dinner, some say 15yrs (it might) but I'm with the 5yrs from vintage lobby on this wine. 89?+
