Robert Mondavi Winery Zinfandel Old Vines

Past prime for sure, but still interesting sandalwood and meat qualities. Not much depth, but fun to drink for sure.

I was worried I waited too long, but I enjoyed it.

This bottle wasn't kept up all too well over the years, but upon 30minutes of uncorking, the wine was fairly open to some nice dark cherry flavors married well with a hefty spice. The finish wasn't especially long lasting but as the bottle ran dry, the fruit popped into the palate a bit more. This wine felt near its peak and good thing we opened it. A very nice zinfandel that we discovered on the rack.

great! Full flavor, berry filled with a little spice.
