Johanneshof Reinisch, Lores Chardonnay, Thermenregion

Recommendation of Michael the sommelier at Burg Vital. Several bottles drunk over several days. Really nice rich creamy Chardonnay, without too much vanilla or other overt oak characteristics but enough to satisfy those who prefer the buttery chards. Enjoyed.

On its downside already, very open, sweet nose with honey, buttery toast, rather tropically fruited - in the mouth now rather fat, sweet, peaches and pears, honey and grass, not unbalanced but not quite to my liking and it already seems to lose its youthful appeal... Drink up

Golden yellow colour - intense honey and lime blossom nose, little oak. Full, creamy, honey again, lychees galore, on the finish a little salty with potted pears, a subtle hint of stone licking is noticeable as well. A little too fat for my taste, but that's only criticizing the style, the wine itself is great - excellent white wine.
