Initial blackberry on the nose, then black pepper and unripe plums. The kickback on the nose isn’t violently black pepper so that note is pretty light/is an undertone. Somewhat translucent red that stains the glass. Semi-sweet. Notes of sour blueberry and dark chocolate (like the intense 99% cacao). Pretty acidic and medium- body with a light and sour finish. Revisited on 2/20, not a big fan of the wine. Off-dry and quite bitter.

Blackberry jam and chocolate aromas. Flavors of red and black fruit, dried herb, and black olive notes. Short finish. Medium tannins.
