Nervi Conterno, Il Rosato, Piedmont

Light salmon color, clear and bright. Alluring aromas of white cherry and musky peach, with ginger powder, crushed rock, orange blossom, and white pepper. Succulent fruit expression on the palate, with white cherry and nectarine flavors and rich layers of rocky mineral salinity, red florals, incense, and savory spice, nicely complex. Medium bodied density, rounded fleshiness, with taut and grippy acidity that's well-integrated, finishing with light plush tannins, lingering long with limestone and zesty peach notes on the finish. Excellent.

Easy drinking, watermelon, strawberry, dry and nice acidity. Good flavors

Splendid rose made by one of the best winemakers in the world for under $30.

Really surprised by just how much I enjoyed this, even in a vintage that supposedly was quite a challenge, at least in the Langhe. I also think it just scratches the right itch, lol. Pink grapefruit, tangerine or persimmon, white peach flower with a nice line of saline acidity driving through it. Refreshing, interesting, delightful, simply delivers!

With Stephanie, Erin, and Roberto Floral fresh and pretty nose with cool strawberry and cherry fruit and some spring herbs. Good balance if not electric with pretty clean fruit and some Sweet- Tart and a stony, chalky backbone. Elegant and pretty. Significantly better than the '23
