Beautiful in the glass and on the palate. This pours like liquid gold, with a deeper yellow (but not showing any oxidation at all). Bright flavors on the attack with baked apple, baking spices, lychee nut, and then shading to a finish of anise. Bright, clean and balanced with a creamy mouthfeel. A real QPR at $23.00. 13.9% alc. With roast chicken and vegetables. Recommended.

I tasted this wine on 4/13/13. It impressed me as having a lovely, rich flavor of melons, with a rounded mouth feel and pleasingly long finish. Dreamy, lush wine to drink on a spring afternoon or summer's eve, accompanied by goat cheese and fruit. The wine looks Yellow gold colored. The legs are Medium. It smells like Melon, Mango, and Pineapple. It tastes like and Melon. The body is Medium/Full. The wine has Smooth texture. The wine finishes Medium.

Consistent with other vintages. Always a very good table wine that goes with a variety of food. This has some tropical fruit flavors mixed with some stoney, floral notes. Good acidity and a delightful balance.

Truchard Tasting w/Anthony Truchard (Gibby's Wine Den, Geneva) : Yellow color. Initially a bit reticent. Wet stone and mineral aromas, along with green apple and white fruit notes. Fairly heavy acidity; flavors of clay, mineral and stone. Decent finish. Not quite as expressive as the 2009. From Beaucastel cuttings planted about twelve years ago. Truchard farms about three acres of Roussanne. 89 pts for me and 91 for Domino.

Medium yellow color. Floral, stone fruit and almond aroma. Flavors of melon, Meyer lemon and nuts with a bitter note on the finish. Creamy texture and good acidity. This is one of the better Rhone-style whites that I have had in some time and especially at this price. We normally match Roussanne, Marsanne, Grenache Blanc et.al and their blends with creamy chicken or seafood dishes. Tonight it was baked halibut with a salsa verde and it went well.

A medium yellow gold with small flecks. Shows a touch of alcohol on the nose along with green grass clippings, cream, lemon, and asparagus. Oily texture. Pleasant weight. Finishes clean but with a touch of cabbage that is slightly offputting. Interesting wine.

A very lovely wine drank in an excellent restaurant in Sonoma called the El Dorado Kitchen, this was a great starter and I wanted to have something different from the region and I don't believe there are too many wineries that do a single varietal Roussanne and this fit the bill nicely - Gold, full bodied with a nose of peach, pear, honey, apple and cream, well structured, balanced with a touch of heat, quite viscous in the mouth, silky …
