Luis Felipe Edwards Pinot Noir Loma Negra

Bright red fruits, roses and hints of toasted oak on the nose with some leather. Good purity. Fresh fruity palate, licorice and savoury notes defined the entire aromatic impression. A touch on the heavy side and rough on the edges for a Pinot, lacking some sophistication, balance and elegance when compared to the top Pinots. This required at least two hours of breathing for the rough edges to diminish. Some aging would help to soften and smoothen the palate.
