Bava, Monferrato, Alteserre Bianco

I had trouble uncorking this bottle, since the cork was stuck on the bottle neck. Fairly dark yellow-gold. Low-key aromas of chamomile, pears, truffles and honey on the nose. Mid-full bodied retaining its freshness, with balancing acidity and a long finish. An elegant wine retaining its freshness and Italian character despite the fact that chardonnay is the main variety here, blended with the local cortese. Good value. 89-90.
