Cederberg, Sauvignon Blanc, Western Cape

Drinking this from a hotel tumbler, so apologies... A strong, pungent Sauvignon nose, the usual Goseberry & Cat's Pee descriptors are appropriate. Colour is a pale lime green, very transparent. There's a slight frizzante and a sharp, citrus zest attack with a dry mid-palate and spicy sweet finish. A little heat on the end, and the aftertaste is reminiscent of a fruit cordial & soda mixed with Quinine. Very typical Sauvignon flavours, just a little too lacking in substance and …
