Tasted after 1 hour of air. Medium garnet color. Floral on the nose. Sweet cherry fruit with some good balancing crunch. Spice. A bit of black tea. Persistent finish. This is still going strong after 14 years. Plenty of life ahead. No rush on these.

Deep red, almost black cherry with nice spice and structure. Very enjoyable. Many 2009 OR pinots seem to be on their last legs but this bottle got better after an hour of air and seems like it had years left.

Most attractive of a lineup of Ca, Burgundy and two Oregon pn’s Confirming my impressions from a year ago; ripe and mouthfilling, firm integrated tannins, holds well over a few days

Still has pleasant fruit flavors.

This is lovely Relatively muted cherry, a bit of barnyard and a long, long spice to finish. A long way to go but I am getting pressured to open my second and last bottle for a birthday this year. Sigh... Edit: I had this rated as “83”. Clearly user error. Correct rating as above is 92

Still drinking nicely. Took a good 30 minutes to open up.

Very good. Heavier than expected for an Oregon Pinot. Decanted for 3 hours helped it open. Still has life left to age.

This is in a good place, but should keep humming along for another 5 years or more with proper storage. What a nice transition since my last experience with this Pinot.

Very good. Decanted for 1.5-2 hours before consuming and it really opened up and smoothed out. One of the better pinots we have had.

Still not quite up to par with other years. Really like the nose, but the palette isn't quite up to it.

Of the Willakezie lineup of Pinot Noirs, this is my favorite in most vintages. As good as this was tonight, I was expecting more. Possibly in an awkward stage. None left to ever know.

At this stage, I expected more development. My preference leans toward more feminine acidic wines in general, and this fit that bill. However, I do like a bit more fruit presence than this provided. My final bottle will wait at least another year to see if it finds that balance point.

Interesting nose - little bitter after taste - got much better after an hour.

OK, not stunning. Seems a little disjointed tonight even though it has plenty of age. Some nice flavors orbiting in spheres of their own...

Soft fruit palette, oak is nice. Not as upfront as many of the '09s, beginning to fade.

Medium ruby, light cherry nose. Dry, tart cherry fruit, medium body, drinking nicely with a bold acid balance. Very nice in a restrained manner. acid is muted with a couple of days in the fridge with a light bitter tannin finish. Should appeal to the AFWE crowd.

Fruit is on the lean side here surprisingly given that its from a hot year, and the acidity is pronounced. Citrus and cranberry, some heat, however the oak is quite nice. I miss the soft floral quality that Aliette often manifests, the warm vintage has overridden its usual feminine personality. I'll take an '07 or '10 over this any day...

Light/medium ruby, light red berry nose. Clean dry with just a hint of mineral. Red currant, slightly tart with bitter, all of a subtle nature. On barrel sampling this had a strongly floral aroma that for me has dissipated. The light fruit is dominated by the acid, very balanced and smoothly drinking, light tannins on the finish. This is good stuff and drinking well with or without food. No need to decant, good on the PnP. Even better tonight, a …

Tasted at winery. We liked this better than the '11 Cuvee Estate before it. Stronger and darker fruit notes and some cassis tones. Still young, needs some time to improve.

Rich red berry with some green herb and pepper. Soft tannins with a bit of alcohol heat. Still young but very tasty. Aliette is our favoritte WK bottling and we could not resist pulling a bottle to drink with some steelhead tonight.

Tasted at the release party. Nicely balanced with good range of flavors - medium bodied. Will look forward to tasting after cellaring for awhile. From WillaKenzie: Soft cherry-garnet in color, with aromas of pink peppercorn and rose petals. On the palate, the fruit shows kirsch, cranberry, pie cherries and dried flowers with undercurrents of cinnamon. Medium to full bodied, soft velvety tannins carry into a long and elegant finish. This well rounded wine will age gracefully for 8-10 years, and …
