Really liked this quite a bit. The Pinot Noir really shines through - a vinous Champagne that worked well with charcouterie and cheeses. A food wine. Got even better after being open for awhile with a few glasses poured out. Excellent.

Blind Champagnes @ Basanti : Served blind. Richly colored making lean heavily towards a Pinot majority wine. Quite perfumed. There are a couple funky things on the palate but the rich stone fruits draw you in. It was also definitely wanting some acid. I should have made a point of taking some notes later on as I think some air would help this settle on its bones.

Sat @ Basanti : (Blind) 100% PN, dosage 1g/L. Ever so slightly salmon in color. Some yeastiness on the nose. Yellow cherry, strawberry, pink grapefruit zest, with a slightly herbal finish. Wish I had revisited to get a better description of the finish.

June 2022 disgorgement, 100% Pinot Noir and 1 gm of dosage. Agree with another user that there is a touch of rose color here, or better said for me is that just a tinge of rose within a lightly gold color frame. Good amount of bread dough on the aromatic, and I want to keep coming back to something a little nutty, too. Tangy strawberry, like biting into a piece of the fruit that is just tangy enough before it …

This bottle says Blanc de Noirs Reserve on the front label, not sure if that's just a change for this year or a different bottling. This was disgorged October 2021 and pours a light pinkish color, almost rose like. There is some ripe pinot fruit and some minerality to balance things out. Enjoyable drinker but lacking a bit in the complexity department. Improves with air.
