My last bottle, and another good showing. Popped & poured. Strawberry, raspberry, bruised apple, caramel, light tobacco, earth, and brioche, with medium-level acidity and very good length. A little unclean, but again smoothly textured, and very harmonious, with light, fine, creamy mousse. This bottling is not produced anymore. I wish I had more!

Medium golden colour. Mixed berries, ripe apple, cherry, honey, almond, tobacco, croissant, brioche, and earth, with medium-level acidity, creamy mousse, and great persistence. Medium-bodied, smooth, balanced and harmonious. Excelled with food. In a good place. Drink now.

When I visited the winery in December, I learned that they only had 12 bottles of this bottling left. An opportunity not to be missed! First bottle from the new case. Consistent with previous bottles, even a little fresher. Medium golden colour. Baked apple, yellow fruit, mixed berries, cherry, pastry, almond, marzipan, and light earth, with fresh, medium-level acidity and great persistence. Medium-bodied, smooth, balanced and harmonious. A pleasure to drink!

Medium golden colour. Baked apple, yellow fruit, candied fruit, red cherry, mixed berries, almond, marzipan, and light earth, with medium-level acidity and great persistence. Medium-bodied, balanced and harmonious. Very smoothly textured. Who would expect to find such a harmonious sparkling wine in the Rheingau area???

Medium golden colour. Baked apple, ripe yellow fruit, red berries, cherry, almond, and marzipan are joined by a hint of sherry on the finish, with medium-level acidity. Medium-bodied, and very smoothly textured, with impressive length. Earthier and less clean than my first bottle, but very likable nonetheless.

Bought at the winery the other day. A blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Four to five years with the lees in bottle before it was disgorged about fifteen years ago. Medium golden colour. Baked apple, candied fruit, red berries, almond, marzipan, bread crust, biscuit, brioche, and smoke, with good acidity and impressive length. Smoothly textured, with creamy, ultra-fine mousse, and great persistence. Drinks very well. I liked it quite a bit!
