enjoyable older napa vintage. fruit is still there, tannins well integrated. secondary characteristics coming through. Structure is ok, wouldn't save this any longer, drink away.

Drinking beautifully right now. It was definitely worth the wait. Beautiful deep blackberry in color. Smooth and velvety on the palette w a bit of fennel Acidity balanced and layered fruits. Just pour and drink. No decanting necessary.

My notes and comments are in line with Morteza and TheLostVerse. Deep purple in color, rich dark fruit notes (more prevalent fruit than in other Napa 2011’s that I have had), robust notes of tobacco and leather, minor notes of chocolate. Only drawback was the finish- which was only of moderate duration. One of the better cabs I had from this vintage.

Needs air before consuming, otherwise very acidic. Medium-bodied, pleasant wine. No wow factor.

Deep purple-red in the glass and still with a young look. After double-decanting thru the menu decanter, it continued to open up for another 1-2 hours. At that point, the bouquet was gorgeous with lots of dark red and black fruit. Dense and complex, opens up on the palate with rich, classic Napa Cab flavors that match the nose, interlaced with leather, tobacco, dark chocolate and subtle graphite, which carry on seamlessly to more of the same on the mid …

This proves the saying that there are no great wines, only great bottles. We last had this about two months ago and it was in a good place. Last night was spectacular and hitting on all cylinders. Same black fruit profile with wonderful balance. I wish I had another bottle to see if this continues improving, but I think we caught this at the top.

This has added depth since my first bottle. Black fruits, but I didn't get the sense of floral notes that were in the prior bottle. This is in a good spot right now.

Aerated and decanted for 90 minutes based on earlier comments. In retrospect needed more. Initially tannin dominated everything. Around 2 hours opened up with mix of blackberry, plum and tobacco. Either hold for another year or two or decant for a long time.

opened from cellar 55 and double decanted. let it sit for about 45 min. I found it to be a bit overly tannic and peppery over powering the fruit at first. Closed it up to wait for day 2. day 2 definitely improved but still needed quite a bit of air. It really didn't start to show the expressiveness of the fruit until a few hours in. Then it was quite impressive and enjoyable. I really think this just needs …

It may have been a rough year for California wine, but this reflects the ability of Sojourn's winemaker. Red fruit forward, silky, smooth, with well integrated tannins and just a hint of sage on the medium finish. I really enjoyed this, and am sad that Sojourn isn't sourcing from Spring Mountain anymore.

On PnP, this was on the green side. With some time in the glass, it added some depth with plum and tobacco.

Gorgeous earthy bouquet. Lavender and flowers after it opened up. Silky smooth and velvety. Deep cherry flavors, nice acidity. This is fantastic.

Slo-ox'd for 75 minutes before tasting. Tannins and acid were present. At 2 hours in, the wine was smoothing out. Tannins and acid were fading. A really dark inky color. Taste of raisins. Overall, a very nice cab. Drink if you want, but I'd hold a minimum of 2 years.

Knightsbridge Bordeaux and US Cabernet Tasting (Northbrook, IL) : Tasting, brief note. Fresh black fruit, modest spice, well supported with acidity and elegant tannins. Drinking well now. I appreciated the good restraint and balance of mountain fruit and the vintage.

Opened this early since it's the first Sojourn Cab I've bought. Pop/pour. No detailed notes, but this is relatively delicate and perhaps a bit linear. Maybe a function of vintage, maybe a function of the lack of decant. Will check in later. Agree with others, doesn't seem to have the structure for long term aging. Will maybe try the '12 vintage before making a decision regarding longer-term continued purchases.

Sojourn Tasting Solon Visit (Sonoma Sq.) : Tasting room. My notes indicate Terra Valentine fruit. Full nose starts with an herbal kick, blackcurrant fruit, tobacco and cedar. Palate is well structured with robust tannin and medium body fruit. In a more structured style - will need time to flesh out and integrate. Like the underlying complexity and structure. 90-92+.

Pop and pour from a 375. Smooth with tobacco and no tannins to speak of. I would not age.
