Castel Ruggero Nicóló d'Afflitto Toscana IGT

Perfect provenance. No notes taken. Decanted 1 hr. Enjoyed over 2 days. Nice dark color. 2.5% milk body. Very yummy plum, leather, salt, cedar, vanilla, blackberry, lt. blueberry. A little but of truffles and violet on day 2. 50 second finish. One day 1 I would give this a 89. On day 2 it actually acted like a Viader 2001, and I would give it 91 points. Delicous now and can easily go another few yrs.

Not too acidic and moderately tannic. Pine resiny and sappy, burning wood, earth, leather, plum, blackberry and spice. More on the subtle and restrained end with a medium/full mouth feel.
