Domaine de la Renardière Arbois Pupillin Les vianderies

Oxidative. Ripe. Ripe stone fruit. A whole lot of raspberry. Nutty, skin on almond. Rusk. Rounded but not without acidity and plenty of minerality/salinity. The oxidation/salinity never conjures sherry comparisons. Some pleasant bitterness. 90/91. I liked it but I could see this really pressing some people’s buttons.

Green-mid-gold. Nose is warm and enveloping--some cider apple but nothing weird. Nutty also. Palate surprises by the weight (abv 12%) with perhaps some residual sugar. Moderate concentration. Really enjoyable both with and without food.

Seductive nose, light oxidation notes and nutty aromas. Mouth is elegent, not to powerfull and has nice acidity

Strong aroma of boiled lemon on the nose. There’s a bit of citrus on the entry and a hint of struck-match. Has a nutty character, a little alcohol comes through at times and there’s a lovely celery note and spicy-ness to the finish. The next day there was more fruit and a banana flavour on the palate. Very enjoyable.
