This wine really developed with some time in the cellar. I wish I had more for sure! Nice light notes of vanilla and caramel to go with the zingy acidity. Very nice. Nothing was overdone on this wine.

Lean, wonderfully restrained style. Pear, citrus, a touch of lemongrass, some toasty oak flavors in the background but definitely a grace note rather than dominating. Tasted side by side with Charles Heinz from Littoral, which I loved, but preferred the LaRue.

A lean style with citrus and pear notes and a tight acidity that is mouth watering. The oak was very well hidden. My personal taste would've liked a touch more toasty oak and vanilla. Note, I said a touch.

It's a somewhat well-kept secret that Katy Wilson is making superb Pinots. Here Chards have been perhaps even more of a secret..so I'd like to announce to the world that she makes fabulous Chardonnay too! Her 2014 Charles Heintz Vineyard is beautiful...balanced and reminiscent more of a Burgundy than a typical CA Chardonnay.
