At $20/ bottle this is great PV. Fantastic with pasta and tomato sauce, smooth and balanced red fruits in medium finish. So dependable, as one of my friends commented, this regular bottling is often as good if not better than their gran selezione.

Drinking beautifully. Full nose of dried fruits and dark oak. Deep red and full bodied for a Chianti. Dark cherries, licorice, with a perfectly smooth tannic flourish on the finish.

Stored for more than 20 years in my cellar. After some quite disappointing bottles in the nineties this was a really strange but inspiring experience. The wine developed over three days in an opened bottle. This wine became better and better although the bottle went continously empty over three days. 2010 Fonterutoli Ren, färdigutvecklad doft, medelintensiv med doft av mörka körsbär. Tydliga inslag av läder och mycket mörka toner. Smaken är torr med medelhlhög syra, medium tanniner som är långa och finslipade. Väl integrerad alkohol, En medelfyllig kropp och en bittersöt körsbärs smak. Ettn medellång (-) smak. Ett balanserat, korrekt vin. Prisvärt men inte särskilt komplext, mer sammanslaget och än bättre dag två.

Ren fortfarande ungdomlig doft. Mörka körsbär/björnbär, florala toner och inslag av fat. Torr med medelhög syra, tydligt närvarande och finslipade tanniner. Dry, medium(+) acidity, medium slightly chalky tannin, medium alcohol @13.5% abv, medium-medium(+) body. Flavors of sour cherry, strawberries even, leather and butterscotch in second wave. Good length dry finish woth acidity and tannin in balance and mainly sweet flavor notes. Not very well structured, more linear, easy to drink.

I really disagree with some of the previous notes. With an hour or two in the decanter it shows it's beautiful fragrance, with 'tones of autumn' as well as fresh dark fruit. Good body and grip on the palate but the key is freshness.

Had some concern that the wine was past its time, but with some breathing is opened up and was marvelous. It had a nice fruit taste, as all the wines from this maker I've had do have. It may not be the greatest Chianti Classico Riserva of all time but it is a quite satisfying wine. Would drink it now if you have one.
