Rich, dense, purply black robe and rim. Mature stylish bouquet of black cherry, vanilla followed by a palate laden with damson, bilberry and damson fruit, soft tannins amd mature acidity.

Deep ruby colour - vibrant crimson. Medium intensity and interesting on the nose but hard to unpick. Notes of ripe blackberry, dried herbs, grilled green bell pepper and cedar. Medium intensity on the palate with the same notes as the nose. Medium acidity, medium tannins, high alcohol, full body, medium finish. An interesting wine with decent intensity and some complexity. Good length but heat from alcohol interferes.

Give this wine some air. Raw green bell pepper and herbaceous nature dominated when opened. On day 2 settled into a big, yet balanced, mouthfeel and M+ finish. Great with grilled wings and chocolate that paired with deep blackberry fruit and char.

Blind, deep purple almost black, looks like something young, menthol, cherries, garrigue, herbs, tar, vanilla, garnet, very long and rich and persistent. Upon unveiling, I was blown away by this Carmenere which currently sells for $35 CAD. Don’t tell anyone, just go buy everything you can find on the shelves then tell your friends. Start enjoying in 2025. A monster which will easily last until 2040.

New leather, sandalwood, dark fruit...blackberry, black plum...some meaty and vegetal notes. Concentrated and full bodied. Soft creamy tannins, medium finish...delicious dark fruit flavours with a hint of spices. Awesome with grilled ribeye steak. Ready to drink.

Full bodied, dense, very round in mouth, and long finish. But also somehow light. Kind of like really good cheesecake should be. Well done. Lots of life left in this wine as well, no need to drink up.

The nose showed good fruit with immediate 'green' vegetal notes typical of Carmenere. Tremendous fruit - textbook Carmenere with cherry, red fruits dominant and some leafy character that softened nicely in the glass. Big, muscled, lovely wine with good acidity to balance the sweet fruit. Tasted side by side with Carmin de Peumo 2010 and it stood up very well. Good value for such a high quality wine. Tasted with Ben Smith of Concha y Toro UK at Grand Union …

Escuro do vermelho ao negro. Aroma dominado pelo pimentão, intenso e persistente. Chega a incomodar.

Terrunyo Block 27 is a premium label owned by Concha y Toro that screams Carmenere. Full bodied, purple in color and aromas of blackberry and black currant that both tranlates the same in the mouth and finishes with a bit of smoke. Thanks Jack for sharing this one at #TailgateTuesday. 90pts.

Solid fruit behind the acidity. Will cut fat and creamy foods nicely. Not a show stopper for value central

Purple and opaque. The nose is oaky, a little green, mildly spiced and very understated red fruit (plumb, sour cherry, ...). Very velvety and I'm left with the impression that the grapes are crushed with the stems still present. Finish is tart and a bit tannic. Good but I thought the wine would be bigger. 5+12+16+8=91

Pedestrian. Potent veneer of oak suppressing the fruit underneath. Some spiciness in the finish. Questionable QPR. Hopefully will improve. But just not getting it tonight.

No one could argue that this is a lovely wine..... But 96? Even allowing for commercial ratings I could not go near that That said, nice intensity, lively red fruit and agreeable tannins on the finish. A few years to go yet

Very dark ruby color with still some purple hues left. Nose is developing but full of vibrant plum and blackberry fruit. Oak is lavish, the wine has a spicy lift, mineral tones and a floral dimension especially upon opening. As time passed more volatile and lifted aromatics gave place to earthier tones of coffee. Palate is sensuous with abundant fruit, creamy oak, spice, minerals, very smooth tannins, balancing acidity and good length. An impeccable wine.

A difficult wine to rate. Some very impressive purity, complexity and depth but at the same time quite heavy and monolithic with a bit of a green note. Overall a fun wine to drink and an interesting one to taste, though not something I would want 12 of. Despite the qualified negativity, there really is a lot there: coffee, mandarin, chocolate, cedar and green pepper. Some lavender and white pepper on the nose and cream and black cherries on the …

Dark red at the rim, tending to black at the core - tar, cedar and black cherries on the nose. Full bodied and full on wine, quite sweet and intense on the palate, balanced with acidity - however, overall it seems a trifle simple - but jolly nice.

Vin aux notes végétales, bien fait tout de même. Nez sur le cassis et l'eucalyptus. En bouch, il y a moins de notes végétales, bleuets et cassis sur une belle trame tannique, assez long.

Outstanding, this is an excellent wine and although the hope that Carmenere was going to be 'Chile's Malbec' is fading, this is done very well in this particular example and it rightly stands on it's own, this is a $50 bottle that is actually only $30 - Black, full bodied with a nose of extreme plum, cedar, black fruit, tobacco and vanilla, very complex, well structured and balanced, sweet, silky smooth on the palate with terrific length, awesome (92 Points).

Deep dark purple - well-integrated tannins with sour cherry and a slight greeness on the back end. I would've like to have seen more complexity but overall... a solid effort for Chilean carmenere.

Aerated 2 hours. Since my first vintage (2004), this seems to be headed in the wrong direction. Could be mother nature, could be winery chicanery. Either way, a lot of the freshness and complexity that I've enjoyed in previous vintages is not here. Ripe, flabby and somewhat monolithic, notwithstanding some obvious purity to the fruit. I would not recommend this purchase. Drink thru, approx $ 28.
