Château Langlais Puisseguin-St. Émilion

Absolutely delightful tonight. Wasn’t sure if these were worth putting away for any amount of time but this drank beautifully tonight. Not the most complex but absolutely delicious. Bright red cherry, all around pleasantness, decent finish. Just perfectly balanced and on point. Crazy qpr

This was excellent for a young vintage. With some decanting and aeration it opened up beautifully. The tannins mellowed out and the fruit was perfectly balance, the blend was excellent 70% merlot, 25% Cab Franc, 5% Cab Sauvignon, more on the full body. You could taste the black berries, wild blueberries, and some dark cherry. I would add to more to my cellar as a staple, or this would be a great cellar restaurant buy.
