Very different in profile from the later years (2010, 2011) with significantly more oak. Oak has integrated well into the wine and its showing very well at the moment. Full bodied with hints of oak and fuller fruit but delicious for those who enjoy a more full body, older chard. Drinking well now but could go for a few more years.

Wonderful hints of apple tart. No butter and not too crisp. Rare Chard outing for us and this is one we will definitely return to.

Not sure I got all of MM's tastes below, but this is a big full Cali chard that also has enough acidity to keep it interesting ..Sue and I really loved this

Unfiltered-cloudy golden-straw. Bright aromas of pungent cheese, green apple, caramel, and butterscotch. Crisp flavors of caramel-covered red and green apples, pear, ginger, and fine cheeses. Full and big, but with plenty of acid and mineral notes. Glides across the palate like wax in a lava lamp. Closes with tart malic acid and baking spice- superb!
