Deep ruby colour. So fruity on the nose that the sweet vanilla from the use of oak is barely noticed. Soft and velvety on the palate despite its high tannins. Black mulberry, ripe plums and black cherries are definitely there. There is a minor astringency on the medium finish.

Floral note at first, aired for 30 minutes the sweet oak character became appearent, and was very present to drink as the contact with air progressed. A very good value wine from Chile.

Crystal sales tasting. Strange purplish colour - like really, really purple. This tasted incredibly like a rasberry compote - with stewed rasberry / blueberry flavours both on the nose and the palate, drifting along on a bed of sweet oak tones. Not bad overall, lacking a bit of structure and interest, but certainly good QPR
