This bottle ended up being a pleasant surprise. The rating takes into account the excellent value that a cheap ($5.5) bottle of wine can produce if cultivated properly. Tannins were soft but still present, body was 7 of 10, which complimented the muted dark fruit and root flavors. On the nose, one may have expected more vibrancy, but it was good nonetheless.

Drinking really well right now. Tannins are rich, but fully resolved. Long finish. Plenty of sediment, so pour slowly and don't disturb your bottle. Used the ah-so, but the cork was still in good shape. This could likely hold a bit longer, but I'd drink up while it's in a good place. This is from the era when concannon still made quality wine, not the mass produced plonk they shill now.

Flavors of cherry, black pepper and chocolate. Deep tannins with overtones of spice and earth. Good for value

PnP over 2 days. Color: teeth-staining, inky purple-black. Rustic nose revealing a ton of heat and bramble. Good acidity on the palate, plus some blackberry and copper beefiness, but an overall lack in depth and complexity keeps this one from punching above its weight. Not a bad deal at ~$10.

Good value wine. Much much better than the other Concannon wines. This limited release is the only way to go. Full body, easy drink, smooth, lightly jammy and pepper. Noting spectacular but very nice.

Not bad QPR for the discounted $5.49 purchase price. Decent body, nose, and fruit. Not a whole lot of structure, but ok for the price point. Would buy again at this price.

Nice nose candied fruit and yeast. On the mouth not as good some red fruit and earth but with an unpleasant bitter aftertaste.
