Burgundy tasting event. Herbal, medicinal, devoid of fruits. Lots of earthiness and damp floor. Bitter and sour finish. Disappointing.

Burgundy versus Pinot Noir Tasting 10 wines. Showed rich, forward fruit on the nose which was a surprise, nice, concentrated pinot fruit, medium body and medium finish. My #8 and Group #6.

Tasting of 7 1988 Red Burgundy. Was the clear cut winner with a brilliant, dark ruby red color in the glass with a concentrated burst of pinot noir on the nose, led to rich, concentrated, almost chewy fruit in the mouth, this wine received a perfect score for taste, flavors, body, and finish. My #1 $81.97.
