Nyårsafton hos P+H med C+H+I (Södermalm (P+H)) : (Decanted for one hour) Deep red colour with a maturing nose showing leather, herbs and licorice and some violets in a delicious and seductive way. Smooth tannins on the palate with a fruitful sweetness intensity and showing some dried fruit on the pleasant and lengthy finish. (Best 2020-2035)

Ready with 30 min in decanter. Evolved, but not tertiary aromas yet. Homogenous and silky, good focus. Had it in Burgundy glass, totally deserve it. This could score higher, but the alcohol @ 14.5% is noticeable, which I find in a lot of 2010's drank lately.

Root Day - decanted off a very small amount of fine sediment. Still dark garnet core out to a bricking edge and rim. Showing some development but the core is still dense. Nose is cedar, earth, red flowers, black licorice, anise, dried oregano and dark red cherries. I mean, I liked the wine, but I didn't found the taste intensity to be as high as it should be in a 90pt+ wine. Maybe a not so perfect bottle, definitely elegant and well done, but not worth a 30+ euro wine.

Lazy Wednesday afternoon at Kallang ES. Tasted blind. Poured into decanter and drank over 2 hours. Appearance is clear, deep intensity, ruby colour. Legs. Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of coconut, milky vanilla mocha oak that blows off with air, showing underlying red berries, red plums, black tea leaves, sweaty horse leather, hint of burnt rubber. Une petite verticale...4 millésimes: 2007, 2008, 2010 et 2011. Plus dense et extrait en ce moment. Belle acidité et des fruits noirs surtout avec des épices et des tanins charnus. Long et salivant. Très bon.

Presentation of the Gran Selezione (The Carlu - Toronto, ON) : Nose of cherry syrup, candy floss and licorice. Quite confected to my palate. Licorice on the palate with a medium length finish. Not my style, but I'm not really tolerant of candied and licorice notes.
