Marcel et Blanche Fèvre Chablis 1er Cru Fourchaume

Light straw color. Quickly forming legs. Sometimes the complexity of chalking brings it to the interest in of daub Blanc and Chardonnay and this is one of those times. Gooseberry under ripe pineapple mineral. Towards the finish apple and more stone. The finish is a little rough. Overall it’s more complex than enjoyable, but it is enjoyable.

Quite lovely. Nice light straw colour, light apple on the nose with mineral and a hint of nuts. Palate is crisp and vibrant yet also pretty smooth and well balanced. This is delicious and in a really nice spot. Wish I had more.

Excellent. No notes, but drank well over two nights, over a few days. The second night, the bottle having been kept capped about 1/3 full with no gas or suction, drank best. Depth of fruit, ripe, but still definitely Chablis, mineral structure. 13% abv

This is young and green. Green apple. Lemon & lime. Slate. A hint of green banana.
