Château de la Bonneliere Chinon Rive Gauche

15/20 Ce Chinon m’a déçu.......il a un goût de scierie, de bran de scie qui persiste autant au nez qu’en bouche. Les 2X4 c’est pas trop dans mes cordes.......

The fruit is lost in the smoke. Acid is OK. Body good. Finish long and full. Tobacco, smoke and jammy dark berries. Oh, and some smoke. Good for a glass but the second was a little much.

Looking for wedding wines (Weygandt Wines - Washington, D.C.) : Violets on the nose with deep, dark fruits. Jammy and ripe on the palate with velvety tannins and moderate acidity. Fruity, dark and fun, this shows a lot more fruit and darkness than I was expecting, but still quite good.
