Tasted at a restaurant. Shows pale ruby in the glass, a lot of light comes through this one. Very delicate on the nose, with cherries, potpourri, and spice showing vividly. On the palate this started out very muted, with almost no fruit and a strong acid component. After some time in the glass, this got really big though and showed cherries, plums, and a cumin-ish note that was really interesting. Would decant given the opportuinity.

Very light in color. Whiffs of spearmint on the nose with a dental element. Light red cherry fruit flavors with good chalk & mineral to add structure. A bit puckery on the finish.

Pinot on the River - Saturday Seminars (Russian River Valley Vineyards) : Barrel sample - Light medium cranberry red; cherry nose with a touch of black cherry and roses, that adds a brown sugar component after 30 minutes in the glass; a little primary yet but showing good acidity, complexity and minerality with a palate of tart red fruit, black cherry and a touch of rosehips toward the medium finish 91-92 pts.
