Some spice. Somewhat close up on the nose intially, but then some spice, menthol and cherry fruit came to the front.. Some thought there might be some grenache in the wine. Sweet on the palate and finish. 94

Second time with this wine. I remember from last time that it didn't start to show much personality beyond thick ripe fruit until the very last sip (which was awesome) so I was determined to hold this in the glass as long as possible. Sure enough it paid off. It is still very ripe and rich with a glossy cherry fruit profile with an almost sun-dried twist that makes me think it got a grenache infusion in the cellar, but …
