Moncur Cellars Chardonnay (Bistro Moncur, Sydney) : Struck match/bacon fat, touches of earth, citrus, sweet spice. Medium plus intensity acidity , slight lemon, sharp and unpleasant, plenty of tannic grip is silky but dries. Nah.

12 months oak, native malo. Lemon, little bit of toast, mineral finish. Not quite austere, but towards that end of the spectrum Lovely balance
