PnD let air for 30mins. Consumed over 2hrs. Clear deep ruby. Clean. Medium(+) intensity with aromas cherry plum mushroom tar cocoa fig fennel tobacco. Scent bomb. Dry. Medium alcohol. Medium(+) acidity. Medium(+) body. Medium(+) tannins. Intense with flavours of cherry fig mushroom anise and cocoa. Long finish. Drink now suitable for further ageing. Why wait more than five years. Superb. Finished the year the way I hope to experience the next one.

Served blind On the nose it has: tree bark, dirt, forrest floor, leather, marzipan, casis On the mouth it's: dark, warm, has high tannin, green, stays on the tongue. To powerful and sour for me, but with more time maybe.

Aromas include bruised cherry, black plum, worn leather, dried sage, and sweet oak. Medium bodied, the acid is sweet and bright while the tannins are a bit weathered. The palate tastes of dark cherry, prune, tobacco leaf, graphite minerality, and mint. This is enjoyable but a bit over the hump - the tannin is introducing a bitterness that’s unappealing when juxtaposed with the sweet acid.

This was in a good drinking window with the tannins fully integrated and notes of cherry. The Sangiovese was easily identified in a soft, relaxed style that made for very pleasant drinking with food.

Really soft even at this stage and more fruit forward than I was expecting. The leather and oak here took a back seat, and instead let the intense cherry and berry compote shine. A little on the softer side especially at this age, but still structured. Almost feels like this was soft right out of the gate, rather than having gotten here over time.

Schock! Erste Berührung zeigt mehr Altersspuren als gedacht. Kaum Frucht, dafür viel Erde, Tabak, Rauch. Tannine grippen noch ungewöhnlich stark für so eine alte Wahrnehmung. Nach 2 Stunden dann viel zugänglicher. Weiterhin ohne Frucht, aber nicht mehr mit dem austrocknendem Abgang der scharfen Tannine. Der unabhängig davon erstaunlich lang ist. Unbedingt dekantieren! Gerne mehrere Stunden. Vielleicht gerade auch etwas off, daher nächste Flasche 2025.

Drinking well, benefitted from 90 mins in the decanter. Softened the tannins, but interestingly brought the oak to the front. Not entirely well integrated in the end. Despite this, lovely sour cherry and herbal/savoury components to this. Made for a lovely accompaniment to baked rigatoni.

This is an excellent example of Brunello. The colour is rich Garnet with an orange hue at the rim. On the nose it is expressive with leather, tobacco, green stem, and Forest floor. The mouth feel is silky, with beautiful length, well matured tannin and beautiful mid palate acidity. Expresses cherry and dark berry with hints of nutmeg, Cassis. Luxurious and I cannot wait to try my other two bottles in the future.

What a beautiful wine. The bouquet wafts with seductive notes of dark fruit, desiccated leaves, and pressed roses, followed by chocolate and caramel. Bright and juicy, compelling and long, with black raspberry flavors enhanced by earthy complexity. It's drinking beautifully right now. I wish I had another bottle.
