My Birthday Burgs 2016 Session 2 (Extra Space) : Tasted blind. Pop and poured. Drank over 2+ hours. Appearance is slightly murky, pale intensity, ruby-garnet colour. Legs. Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of chalky minerality, earth, and dark red cherries. Developed. On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium alcohol (13%), medium tannins, medium body. A very nice surprise from an off vintage. Nice bricking around the rim of this but still has a lot of energy. Lot of fruit still on this with notes both in the nose and mouth. Some cherry, earth and mushroom with a very nice finish. The best of the very old bottles we consumed this night.
