Northwest Cellars Madrigal

34% Syrah, 33% Grenache, 33% Mourvèdre, was bottled February 2018, 149 cases. I liked this much better than the previous blend from this winery. Plum on the nose with hints of leather, dirt, and raspberries with a maraschino cherry and herbal mid palate. Finish was brighter flavors like cranberry and red cherries with a little bit of spice, and a touch of iron. Tannins were smooth and the wine had a good body.
