This is simple wine made very well and a delight to drink. Plums and spice on the nose with smooth red fruit, smooth tannins and good balance. à point now. For under £10 excellent value.

Wow, what a great surprise this was. This bottle cost £6.75 from the wine society a few years ago. I put one away to see how it would age and it's really delivered. Wish I'd put more away. Bramble, leather, peppers, and cherries on the nose. The fruit is more towards the stewed end of the spectrum. Plenty of primary fruit on the palate. The tannins are now nicely balanced. too young, but it is showing some nice character. very correct nose, excellent acidity, come back in 12-18 months for the second bottle.

A Wine Society Champion in 2013, I bought & tried all the reds, this was my favourite. £8.95 a bottle I would certainly recommend & buy again. Warm, spicy as you would expect but also very well balanced for a wine so young.

Not a WOW-wine, but after a few sips you can loose your heart to it. Certainly one of the best Mediterranean wines I ever had. 14% alcohol, but you don t taste it nor smell it. Neither you smell or taste overripeness. It has a sound acidity which makes you feel drinking a wine with a certain freshness. Fruit is perfect as is the wine at all. Price id perfect too: around 9,- the bottle.
