Lemon curd and white flowers with a pronounced note of french oak and hazelnut. Soft and smooth with excellent acidity and a short finish. Still very fresh and vibrant. Tastes like a Willamette Chardonnay, just with too much oak.

Twisted and poured, served with an Indian inspired soup. Lots of Meyer lemon, some wet stones/flint with the finish showing just a hint of lime. No butter, lots of acid. Drinking well.

Extremely acidic, and slightly off flavor without much of a finish to speak of. I remember a better body when tasting at Argyle, and also a more consistent, bigger bodied product from different vintages of Nuthouse. Bummer.

Perhaps my expectations were set to high by the salesman.... I love buttery-creamy-offdry-bit of vanilla-bit of citrus- well balanced chard. But I probably should talk about this wine. It was Not That. Over paid for what I thought I communicated clearly to the salesman what I wanted. We had a failure to communicate. Some men you just can't reach. So I got some " myeah-- it's not bad" chardonnay .

Last bottle was 1 1/2 years ago. Lemon, citrus, light butter component. Good weight, plenty of zip from the acids. I appreciate this more today than my previous exposure to it.

- Light gold color. It's unbalanced with a light/medium body. Narrow texture with a short finish - Not buttery, citrusy and definitely not a california style chardonnay. Better chilled than the slightest bit warm which makes it difficult on a hot day on the deck enjoying apps and drinks.

Much better than fellow members reviews. Apple, butterscotch, chalk and minerals. Medium finish and very enjoyable. Drink now.

Oregon Pinots (Gary's Place, Hudson, WI) : Light gold color. Drank 1 glass over 30 minutes. Really lovely earth on the nose, light oak, just a bit of butter, citrus, lemon, slightly nutty. The palate has a nice texture, lemon, citrus, cream, poised, medium finish. Some thought this was tropical, but it did not strike me as such.

Starting to mature and in a very pretty way. Wet leaves and tobacco are starting to emerge behind the malo flavors and the tropical notes are sinking away.

While I am generally out of step with the prevailing taste trends of the day, particularly when it comes to chardonnays, I was surprised at the negative reviews of this one. I got it at about 1/2 the list price, which might have helped, and I agree that the 92 points from Wine Advocate is generous, it is still a nice chard reminiscent of some of those from Rombauer. For $13, I'd certainly recommend to those who like the"old style" …

meh. i expected much more from this producer. their PNs are excellent and the Nuthouse series of PNs is worthy of a reserve moniker. not so this Chardonnay I'm afraid. so timid as to be completely blank on the palate. almost watered down, it was a true disappointment.

One of the worst wines I've ever had that didn't go down the drain. Very poor. I really expected more from Argyle, as I'm a huge fan of their sparklers.

Twisted and consumed over 2+ hours. Pretty tight nose only a hint of nuts and honey with a bit of white flowers. On the palate it shows wet rocks, lemon, and more white flowers. Simple but seemed to like this more when it was cooler.

Thin and bitter with little nose in first coupe of hours. Put aside and re-approached on day 2 and 3. Continued to improve in both nose and flavour. Never strong but much better than day 1 and seemed best only slightly chilled. Possibly needs some further maturation time.

Still green around the gills and mostly clear, this exhibits a restrained nose of apple, pineapple, baked spices, honey & stone. Lots of stone fruit and lime sherbert flavors combine with a nutty, flinty finish, where the oak appears for the first time. Standard chardonnay green apple emerges as it warms. Medium-bodied, it's dry, somewhat creamy, yet with sharp acidic tang. Not sure where all the "butter bomb" comments are coming from, this is far more Burgundian in style than …

Nice mix of pineapple and pear but it tails off quickly on the finish. Definitely not full-bodied but still a nice effort. Probably could do better at this price point. I don't pickup the oak mentioned by Nutty08.

Better than I expected given some of the reviews. Lacks the minerality of a top end Chard but is drinkable.

Twisted and poured, served with dinner and consumed over 2+ hours. Nose shows pear, butter, honeysuckle. Taste has some more pear, lemon, minerals and as temp comes up butter but still has some crispy acids. Not a fan of buttery Chards but for some reasons, I liked this tonight.

Served a little warmer than I prefer. Has nice golden fruit, rather soft with pineapple, tropical fruit, and pear. The fruit is completely overwhelmed by strong bitter oak flavors with some heat. Awful, which is really a shame as there seems to be good fruit here. This is why people say they don’t like chardonnay.

I have been pleased with this wine on previous occasions. However on this occasion it is a bit of a mess. I find it a heavy buttery wine in general, but it never really comes together. Today the flavors roll from fruity to heated, then oaky and a bit stale. No balance of flavors at all. That is to say that the wine is still drinkable but it has a hard time remaining interesting.

The Oregon Wine Trail with Dave and Cathy; 5/9/2011-5/10/2011 (Dundee, Oregon) : Very light straw in color with a whiff of lemon. Lemon and quite a bit of sweetness, maybe not completely dry? There is a nice creamy feel to the wine. This is certainly not a cali butter bomb.

Citrus and tropical fruit aroma. Taste is vanilla, as well as a bit of the citrus. Really enjoyed the citrus/topical fruit mixture, but the vanilla impact was a bit too much for me to score this higher. I don't think I'd buy another at the price point, but it was enjoyable nonetheless.

13.5% ABV if I recall correctly. Light gold in the glass. Aromas of nutty cereal and oak primarily on the nose. Maybe a suggestion of minerals. Medium bodied but with an unpleasant sense of balance and a taste that my wife referred to as "watery." I would agree it seems to be lacking in concentration. Not great, which for me is about an 85, and life's too short...

Rich aroma of wood stain and vanilla, almost similar to some type of furniture store. The palate has a lot of maillard reactions going on and a bit of a diacetyl note, similar to werthers candy. Low acidity, a bit watery.

Tried this alongside the 06 Chard and actually liked it better. We had them both with dinner and actually thought the '07 was a better food overall wine. By comparison, the '06 would have probably been better with hour d'vours (cheese, pate', etc.). Mild fruit and floral notes on the nose/palate, but nicely balanced. A year and a half more in bottle actually did this wine well.

Pacific Northwest Tasting Trip, Day 5; 10/28/2010-11/11/2010 (Willamette Valley, Day 5) : This had a nice nose of pear and a little oak going on. The palate however seemed to show a little more oak than I prefer and the wife thought that there was a soapy characteristic present.

Not too bad for a chardonnay, considering I'm not a big chardonnay fan. Aroma has a bit of a zest to it, almost like a light citrus. Taste has that buttery taste, along with some light peach and lychee taste.

Willamette Valley Century Club (100 wines in a day)! : I wasn't into this... some woodsy funk on the nose, soft and mild on the palate, and lots of woodsy coconut on the finish. Not my style of Chard.

The REAL Willamette Valley century club (100 wines at the wineries in 1 day) (Willamette Valley - Oregon) : It reminded me of butter, coconut and suntan lotion. Pretty heavy on the oak butter thing, which puts it right in line with the majority of cheap California Charonnays, and even in that respect this has nothing to set itself apart from the rest. Pretty boring overall.

We don't drink a lot of Chardonnay so take this for what this is worth. Light color; just above silver. Nose has a light pear and honeysuckle. Taste is slightly tropical up front, nice and smooth in the middle, with a nice mineral lime component at the finish. Fair amount of acid carries through the finish yet there is an oily texture to it. Nice though I'm not sure about the QPR.
