This was opened in the morning and left in cellar. Then decanted in the restaurant and this evolved nicely initially some grippy tannins but these eventually fell away leaving a delicious raspberry compote.

Darker color, smokier aroma than 13 Le Moine CSD, but also less elegant and balanced. Prominent acidity, sweet tart on the finish hopefully integrates and rounds out with air or time in bottle. My initial impression is that this absolutely needs time, whereas the Le Moine is lovely now and may benefit with time. * Day 2 this isn't as angular as it was, better integrated. Medium garnet. Discrete nose with very complex aromas of red and dark fruit with a whole cluster touch. Elegant presence on the palate, good volume and dry extract providing structure. This is a sublime Burgundy, reminds me of the DRC style both structurally and aromatically. If you are a fan of elegant, aromatic Burgundies, you will love this. Wait till 2023 until this is in full bloom.

Very spicy, mineral-inflected nose; very rich and fans out like a peacocks tail. Gorgeous, lush fruit, pure and refined. Chocolate finish. Very good potential. 93-95
