Apolloni Vineyards Soleggio Conti di Val Seriana

I opened this to go with dinner since I bought a bottle of the 2015 vintage yesterday. The nose is toast and dried fruit, restrained by comparison to the palate: pretty fruit forward on the front, but not jammy: notes of fig, but I get more blackberry or even black cherry than I do “bright cherry.” The 2015 I tried yesterday had more cherry notes.
