Superbe tenue dans le temps. Très homogène, frais, encore droit, aucune trace d’oxydation, notes de miel, citron confit, mineral, paille séchée… très beau. Longueur moyenne au mieux, amertume faible, acidité rafraîchissante, corps léger à ample.

Nice pairing with my Spicy Asian Lettuce Wraps. As the saying goes, if you have heat, bring the sweet. This 08 has settled in nicely. The petroleum has softened. White peach, tropical melons, apricots, Meyer lemons, some green apple, underripe pineapple juices, kiwi, liquid caramel, honeycomb notes, nut w/ skin, dry crushed, rock powder, saline notes, volcanic minerals, white & yellow flowers, grand acidity with nice balance and elegant finish that lasts nearly a minute and lands on soft earthiness …

We let this one go too long. The cork was crumbling and the wine had hints of sherry. Drinkable if you adjust your expectations.

Drank with oven roasted chicken with creamy mushroom sauce and kohlrabi gratin. On the nose intense gout de petrol, signs of proper aging. On the palette still so youthful, juicy, clearly lemon. Becomes almost buttery with the food combination. An amazing evening, thanks for the bottle Jean-Louis.

Encore beaucoup de dynamisme, belle acidité, matière noble, aucune trace d’oxydation, salin, fruit jaune, babeurre, herbes fraîches rappelant l’estragon et la sarriette, fleurs blanches, superbe nez. Bien sec, beau touché de bouche satiné, amertume moyenne-faible, persistance moyenne-courte (petit défaut ici) Prêt à boire mais tiendra encore 2-3 ans facilement.

The fruit and the acid are indeed separate. Yet this was a nice wine with mild Indian lentils and paneer. Will the acid and fruit connect someday? I'd guess no and drink whenever it suits you.

Green gold colour. Nose is muted but the palate more than makes up for it. It is pretty lush with a good weight and superb flavours of apple and lime. There are attractive petrol notes too with a persistent apple, citrus zing on the long finish. Wonderful stuff.
