Compared to the 2004, initially had an off putting nose, which blew off, tannins and structure had faded, fruit starting to decline, but still an enjoyable wine.

I'm not sure if over the hill, but not a lot left. I'd also agree a little off. Dried fruit on nose and initial palate. Not delicious but not throwaway.

Light purple color with some brownish hues. Over ripe fruity nose of blackberry, raspberry jam, figs, with herbs and spices. Full body, nice structure and finish. This is a good value.

Darker and more tannic than previous vintages (04/05). Meatiness comes across also. Not bad - try with chili or similar dish.
