Tasted with Yagil and 2 other friends at a local restaurant over lunch. Deep dark opaque garnet purple. Dense yet somewhat light on its feet, noticeable but modest new oak. Nicely balanced and integrated. Dark red and black fruit throughout and bright acidity with light tannin. Good depth but the nose is a little reticent. Complex and layered. The wine had a nose of red fruit and some oak. The mouth was very full with the fruit from the nose, a bit of sweetness from the oak but well made and balanced. Was missing some more acid to make it all more balanced.

Very elegant and high quality wine, but not worth the so high price that it costs. Nice dark purple red color. Full body. Medium acidity and tanines, still feel smooth. Medium aromatic but full of flavors and sub-flavors: blackberries, blueberries, plum, licorice, pepper, cinnamon, then grass and apple as well as vaguely oak and chocolate. Top mature Israeli wines 2/2016 (at my home) : excellent elegant nose & palate, well balanced, structured, complexed, still quite young and can age 2-5 years.

2005 vintage

Powerful nose of black currants and ripe cassis. Quite ripe with strong flavors of cassis and black fruits. Very expressive with good earthy flavors and notes of bitter chocolate and mid-eastern spices. Finishes a bit hot with somewhat rustic tannins and jammy flavors. There is good raw material here but this winery has some work to do to have this compete on the world stage.

Mature Israeli wines tasting (at my home) : dark red-purple wonderful Bordeaux style nose with cedar, blackcurrant and dried herbs - but less impressing when stands next to the 2003... full bodied, grip tannins, still too young, nice acidity, rich not-ripe-enough fruity flavours, not yet fully integrated, rough, with some oak-vanilla, as well as spicy hints. not yet round as expected. Long enjoyable finish that hints about its potential. requires further ageing of 1-3 years.

This is an amazing wine. Mature and integrated, still improving, but still with bright fruit and firm tannins. An excellent point to try a bottle, but still getting better. Typical dark fruits and forest berries, really amazing, with cedar/tobacco on the long finish

This is supposed to be the best forest ever, but still too young. I'm sure my score has more to do with youth than overall quality, but not good enough to tell the difference. Excellent bottle, very enjoyable, but was out shown by the complexity and maturity of the 2004 Ella valley special edition cab. Give this one a lot more time

Oh Ya! Until now I have got the noise around Yatir's wines. This is my 2nd bottle of this vintage and wow what a wine. Toke 2 hours to open up and match very well to the entrecôte, still half a bottle left ..

Still royal purple in color, the Petit Verdot component of this wine is quite dominant, with note of green peppers and forest floor. Dark, dense black berries and fine tannins. I think this will benefit from 2-3 years of additional cellaring.

Excellent, full bodied, enjoyed with Rack of Lamb. Black fruits, a little spice, a little tobacco

2004 vintage

dark inky ruby color. Dark fruit nose. Plum, black currant, and cedar palate withgentle tannins. Long finish that goes on and on with nearly no notice of its 14.5alc; Integrating and balanced, still improving. Enjoyable now but def better in year or even two.
