Hahn Chardonnay Santa Lucia Highlands

good californa chardonny, compared to the Price. balance okay between Acid, Wood (not too much) and fruit. Easy drinking Chardonnay with typical Cal. flavours.

Ultimately forgettable but a nice quaffer. Chablis-like with clean limey-apple flavors and a touch of flint and tropical melon. Some heaviness in the mid-palate. Nice wine. Simple but fruity and acidic enough to stand up to an array of foods.

Drank this in comparison with the 2010 Penfolds 311 and again, it won. Delicious; hints of banana.

Looks like this a good place to grow Chardonnay, and these people have developed a style we can appreciate. By no means typical for a California Chardonnay. This is most likely a cool area, resulting in a flavor and aroma profile that is quite balanced between the fruit, and other than fruit side. The color is deep rich golden. Really great QPR for ~$14 I'd have blind tasted, guessed 2x the price Light yellow straw color, clear vibrant. Elegant Nose of tropical fruit, banana, wet stone. In the mouth shows a great combination of weight, acidity, minerality & varietal expression. Bravo. Great front palate with green apple, stone fruit mid, nice lingering citrus finish.

Quite nice, if undistinguishable. Good balane of fruit and mineral. Nice color (ight straw), good nose (peaches, apricots, light citrus) and a clean finish.

Very nice classic Chardonnay' Not too mucvh oak. Great fiish. Fantasti complement to a Couvier fish grill.
