All kinds of citrus and white fruits with intensity to spare. Oily texture and saline finish. Well-integrated and barely-noticeable oak stays in the background. This is excellent.

Ripe citrus, white fruits, and apricots. Leaner compared to the Champ-Canet, but focused with lots of energy. The acidity keeps the wine in the citrus and apples spectrum at the long driving finish.

This second bottle is higher in acidity and lower in fruit intensity. This is more representative of the higher elevation location of En la Richarde, but is a deviation from the ripe fruit intensity of the vintage. Very aromatic nonetheless. Barrel variation?

This was trying to settle the first two days. On day three, it is magnificent. Amazing, off the charts, salinity that draws you in to the point that you can't think of any other aspect of the wine. Afterwards, you discover high toned apricots, white fruits, and some citrus that go on and on. Great wine, and worth your attention. Bought more.

2022 Sauzet tasting- 1 ounce pours, bottles opened 2 hours prior a precocious and joyous nose of pink and blue flowers, succulent pears, bright mineral notes, on the palate an immediate intensity with painfully tight fruit that is about as full bodied as you will ever see in a Puligny, penetrating with a hint of the exotic on the lengthy finish, graceful but today at least decidedly more fruit driven and affable than its siblings, should be accessible fairly soon …

Jasper on Terroir: Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Folatières (67 Pall Mall TV) : Increasingly biodynamic practices, aiming for purity and precision. The first vintage bottled with the lieu dit shown on the label. Big, rich, extracted style, with sufficient stony tension to keep things interesting. Well-judged balance of oak and reduction, then juicier towards the finish, which also showed a touch of toffee. Full of flavour but also deft and airy. Trademark balance of the 2017s - superb.

David Wainwright's Big Birthday Celebration with Friends & Wine (1243 Bourgogne Society - Beaune) : Lemon and lemon peel aromas with floral charm, then similar flavors with bright textures and an intense mineral finish. Very good length, better 2023 forward.
