Domaine Albert Seltz Pinot Noir La clochette du Fou

Opened on Christmas Day in front of our beautiful tree. Had without, then with, then post food. No decant. Slow forming and heavy legs. Clear red color with undertones. Something almost bricking or rusty on edges(?). Upon open, the wine was cranky with cranberry and sour cherries. A wooded note with those elements called a memory of lambic. Red berries and bitter chocolate to the aroma. The palate is silky and savoury and has decent depth. There’s fruit concentration and a stony/chalky finish.
